It Might As Well Be Spring

This painting was born as a result of the second  image provided to participating artists in the group challenge called "Paint The Barn In Winter".  I considered many possibilities before embarking on this one version, perhaps one of a few more to come. The first challenge for me was to represent the scene in a more three dimensional way as opposed to the original photograph which appeared very flat. I also felt compelled to change the mood to a less dramatic and more airy one. The inspiration for the title end color scheme came from a jazz standard by the same name.
